Dolores River - Slickrock to Gateway

Day Five

Breakfast – toasted bagel with cheese, and scrambled eggs, and hash browns.

Only 10 miles planned for today, and not much going on two class III rapids. Jay found a nice campsite on bend of river about 10 miles from our take out with a great beach, unfortunately the road was within site, but still not too bad.

Joe and Bob dinner night and last night on the river. Spaghetti, meatballs, salad, and strawberry shortcake. Good end to a great trip.

Day Six

Breakfast Jalapeno Eggs-Very tasty, then off the river about 12:30. Decide to drive down the road, and look over the infamous Stateline rapid before heading to Moab. Hard to believe we are in Colorado, beautiful canyon country. Our patience paid off, and we got to see boaters scout and then run the rapid.
